RELLING

I’m always so happy to work with Woolfolk yarns and to collaborate for one of their collections is absolutely a treat! This time I’m honored to have a lovely open-front cardigan named RELLING included in Woolfolk Winter Collection ‘24.

This cardigan features a shawl collar and front bands that are almost completely overlapping on the front of the cardigan. Small, single-stitch, reverse Stockinette stitch line separates the front bands from the body making the cardigan look really neat and finished. Hem and cuffs are finished with lovely ribbing. The cardigan is worked from top down, starting with the neck-piece of the collar. After shoulder shaping you will split for the fronts and back and then join after underarm again. In the end this is an easy to knit cardigan that you will love to wear!

I designed RELLING cardigan already last Spring and knitted my sample during the hottest days of Summer. I must admit that at that point I couldn’t really think about a weather where to use this cardigan. But oh boy, as we’ve been having one of the coldest starts to our year (that I can remember), I’m truly missing this garment now. So I’m going to make one for myself!

I do adore the lovely beige color you can see used in the sample pictured below. This color is FB11 if you are looking for the exact match. It looks like a teddy bear!

But I don’t think I would wear this color that much myself, so I’m glad I got to knit it while I was making the sample. Because it’s so beautiful!

So that’s why I have the perfect grey skeins of Woolfolk Flette Bulky ready for my own cardigan - okay, I will admit that I have already started knitting it quite a few weeks back. But then, as usual, this project took a place on a back burner as other projects took the first priority. Now I just wish I would have taken the time to finish this when I started! Luckily this yarn is one of those that will knit up like a lightning, so my own RELLING should be done in no time.

Now I encourage you to take a look at the complete collection over at Woolfolk website and buy that beautiful yarn while you are there! It’s truly wonderful!
