Neon Bliss Sweater
A new design on April Fools’ Day is no joke! But it sure must be super fun and joyful. And there absolutely nothing more cheerful than the Fluoro Morganite color by La Bien Aimée! So here comes Neon Bliss Sweater!
Neon Bliss Sweater is designed in collaboration with La Bien Aimée to celebrate La Bien Aimée Pop-Up shop in Paris, March 26 to April 6, 2024! If you happen to be in Paris this week, this is an event you don’t want to miss. It looks absolutely amazing and so joyful from what I’ve seen online. So be sure to swing by! I hope to be there one day in person, but since I’m not there this year, I’m so happy to be part of it with this sweater collaboration.
Neon Bliss features fun intarsia stripes that are worked back and forth, keeping it easy even for the fist-time intarsia knitters! The simple single-color stripes in-between give you a little break from all the twisting. This sweater became my instant favorite as soon as it was finished, and I am already planning a new one! But what colors to choose? That’s the big question!
I used a lovely white main color called Blanc for my sweater and paired it with the most beautiful pink and red. The Fluoro Morganite pink is an amazing neon coral type of pink that is absolutely the best color ever. And that deep red is called Coquelicot. What a fab pair those two make! I just adore pink and red together right now – let’s see what else I can knit with those colors combined!
The Neon Bliss Sweater is worked from the top down, starting with the upper back and then short rows for the front shoulders. You work the body pieces flat to make the intarsia parts as simple as you can, but adventurous knitters can work the lower body in the round as well. I joined my pieces in the round for the hem ribbing and then seamed the sides before picking up stitches for the sleeves.
I’m already dreaming of the colors for my next one, and I can’t wait to see what colors you guys pick for you versions!
