Framework cardigan is inspired by modern quilting traditions. I think the cable texture almost looks like a top stitching pattern. The fit of the cardigan is relaxed and without much shaping to keep the quilted look.
This cardigan was designed mainly for women, as a lovely little cardigan or layering piece that will work perfectly for any season. Surprisingly my son also loves this cardigan and you can see us both modeling this cardigan. Corrie Worsted highlights all the design elements beautifully and the yarn is truly a dream to work with.
MATERIALS
5 (5, 6, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 8) skeins of Corrie Worsted by La Bien Aimée. Approx. 1050 (1170, 1290, 1400, 1500, 1610, 1710, 1800, 1890) yards / 960 (1070, 1180, 1280, 1370, 1470, 1570, 1650, 1730) meters of worsted weight yarn. Sample is shown in color Avoine and in size 3.
SIZING
Finished chest circumference front bands overlapping: 36 (40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60, 64, 68)” / 90 (100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170) cm. Choose a size with 4-6” / 10-15 cm of positive ease.
GAUGE
20 stitches and 26 rows = 4” (10 cm) in cable pattern using larger needles.
20 stitches and 26 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Stockinette stitch using larger needles.
