Splash some more color into the Spring! This shawl features short rows and garter stitch. It’s graphic and symmetrical shallow crescent shawl, with three color sequence of stripes.
MATERIALS
Yarn: 3 skeins of Tosh Mo Light by Madelinetosh (80% merino, 20% mohair; 420 yds [384 m] per skein), 1 skein in each color. Approx. 1080 yards [960 meters] of fingering weight yarn, 360 yards [320 meters] in each color. Sample was knit in the colorways Astrid Grey (MC, grey), Dr Zivago’s Sky (CC1, bluish grey) and Fluoro Rose (CC2, neon pink).
Needles: US 6 (4 mm) circular needles, 32” 80 cm long or longer. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
SIZING
One size
Finished size: 118” (300 cm) wingspan and 17” (44 cm) high at the center. The gauge isn’t crucial on this project, but differences will affect the finished size and yardage. Adjust accordingly.
GAUGE
18 stitches and 36 rows = 4” (10 cm) in garter stitch, after blocking.
