Meet Marigold Sweater, my happy day sweater number one! Just the sight of it makes me happy: I love the mixture of textures and the joyful color. This yellow will surely bring a smile to everyone’s face and brighten even the gloomiest of days.
Marigold Sweater is worked from the top down in one piece. The body is worked in scrumptious half fisherman’s rib (or half brioche) and sleeves in reverse Stockinette stitch. Generously fitting body is paired with more fitted sleeves. Every bind-off is worked with gorgeous tubular bind-off for a round and beautiful finish.
MATERIALS
Yarn: 4 (5, 5, 5, 6) (6, 6, 7, 7, 7) skeins of Merino Sport by Walk Collection. Approx. 1380 (1490, 1600, 1720, 1830) (1950, 2050, 2160, 2270, 2400) yds / 1260 (1360, 1460, 1570, 1670) (1780, 1880, 1980, 2080, 2190) m of sport weight yarn. Sample shown in color Lemon Sage.
Needles: US 3 (3.25 mm) and US 2 (2.75 mm) circular needles, 32” (80 cm) long or longer, and dpns in same sizes if not using magic loop method for small circumference knitting.
