Piennar Top

This is my summer sweater for dressy occasions number one! I love the delicate colors together, the little lively pink pops of the pink colorway and the calming serenity of the peachy beige shade of main color, that pair perfectly with this lovely lace and stockinette stitch stripes.

Piennar Top is worked from top down in one piece. The shoulders are shaped with short rows giving this top a delightful fit with plenty of positive ease.

Piennar Top is designed for the first ever Helsinki Urban Yarn Shop Crawl 2024.

MATERIALS
Yarn:

• 1 (2, 2, 2, 2) (2, 3, 3) skeins of Hento by Lammas Yarn Company (45% Superwash Wool, 22% Cotton, 22% Polyester, 11% Silk; 440 yds (400 m) / 100g). Approx. 440 (505, 570, 660, 745) (830, 920, 1020) yds / 400 (460, 520, 600, 680) (760, 840, 930) m of fingering weight yarn in MC. Sample shown in color Napasillaan.

• 1 (1, 1, 1, 2) (2, 2, 2) skeins of Summer by Lanitium ex Machina (45% Superwash Wool, 22% Cotton, 22% Polyester, 11% Silk; 440 yds (400 m) / 100g). Approx. 340 (370, 405, 440, 480) (535, 590, 660) yds / 310 (340, 370, 400, 440) (490, 540, 600) m of fingering weight yarn in CC. Sample shown in color Gibberish.

Needles: US 4 (3.5 mm) and US 2½ (3 mm) circular needles, 32” (80 cm) long or longer, and dpns in each size if not using magic loop method for small circumference knitting.

Finished Chest Circumference: 35.5 (41, 45.5, 51, 56) (61, 66, 71)” / 89 (102, 114, 127, 140) (152, 165, 178) cm. Choose a size with approx. 6–10” (15–25 cm) of positive ease. Sample knitted in size 4.

GAUGE
22 sts and 30 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Stockinette stitch and in Lace Pattern using larger needles, after blocking.
