Little lace and garter stitch is always a good idea! Especially paired with a rustic yarn, like in this lovely triangle shawl.
Lovely garter stitch is mixed with lace pattern and some Stockinette stitch is added to the mixture. This symmetric triangular shawl is worked from top down.
MATERIALS
Yarn: 2 skeins of Maahinen by Riihivilla (100% wool, 390 yds [375 m]/100g). Approx. 660 yards [600 m] of fingering weight yarn. Sample shawl was knit in colorway light grey.
Needles: US 6 (4 mm) circular needles, 32” 80 cm long or longer. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
SIZING
One Size
Finished measurements: 79” (200 cm) wide and 32” (82 cm) at center.
The gauge isn’t crucial on this project, but differences will affect finished size and yardage. Adjust accordingly.
GAUGE
16 stitches and 30 rows = 4” (10 cm) in garter stitch, after blocking.
