MATERIALS
Yarn: 3 skeins of Merino Singles by La Bien Aimée (100% Merino Wool; 400 yards (366meters) per 100g). Approx. 1125 yards (1030 meters) of fingering weight yarn: 375 yards (340 meters) of all three colors MC, CC1 and CC2. The sample was knit in colorways Parchment (MC, natural) and Nebula (CC1, blue) and Interstellar (CC2, white speckled).
Needles: US 7 (4.5 mm) circular needles, 32” (80 cm) long or longer. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Other: Stitch markers, tapestry needle and blocking aids.

Finished measurements: Approx. 95” (240 cm) wingspan, measured from end to end in a straight line, and 31½” (80 cm) deep at deepest point.
GAUGE
18 stitches and 36 rows = 4” (10 cm) in garter stitch, after blocking.
