Cover Girl
Hello February! Here we are, close to the middle of the month already, and I feel like I’m barely realised that we are well into the new year! I can definitely feel the spring just around the corner - even though it’s most definitely still winter. The days are getting longer and there’s hope for more daylight every single day.
February so far has been all about work. All designing, all knitting, typing on this very computer. Every single day, from dusk till dawn. It’s no secret that there are big things in the making behind the scenes! But all this work will take some time before it makes anything I can share with you all. So please be patient with me as I work more quietly behind the scenes. I promise the wait will be worth it!
Other than all the secret things, I’ve been knitting a lot of socks! So unusual for me, as someone who used to hate sock knitting. I know this shift has started a few years back already, but this month I’ve been drawn to knit socks more than ever. As soon as I’ve finished a pair, I’m instantly casting on another. If not earlier! And the creative juices just keep flowing - I have so many new ideas I want to make right now!
Speaking of socks! It’s not just this year when I’m drawn to socks, because I have the honour of being one of the cover designers on the upcoming Laine Magazine. If you look closely you can see my Blue Hour socks there!
This lovely spring issue, Laine 24 named Brushstrokes, is all about creative energy and happy spring colours! The photos were taken in an artist's studio, completely surrounded by visual inspiration, as well sin a park with old greenery and quiet hidden paths. I love the variety of designs this issue has - and so proud to have my socks included.
Pattern previews available on Laine website and Ravelry. Publication day for the magazine is 7 March, 2025! Go and preorder your copy now!
