A diary for all my knitting and making
Milkshake Scarf
Milkshake Scarf features garter stitch, i-cord edging and super simple intarsia. Perfect little in-between knit while you think about the next big sweater project of yours.
Sticky Toffee
That dreamy autumn weather is here, with golden leaves all around us and frosty mornings that make us reach for an extra squishy and warm layer! This is the weather I'm dreaming about right now!
Säie Sweater
Today is all about Säie Sweater! If this doesn’t bring the sweater weather, autumn feel to me, I don’t know what will! It’s all colorwork, circular yoke sweater that has been in the making for quite some time. Säie Sweater is an ode to the beautiful colors of Säie Wool.
Marigold Sweater
Here we are again, at the start of August! Just like that July is gone and we are already strongly heading to back-to-school season. This obviously means back to work season for me, and even though I wasn’t supposed to have any real time off this summer, somehow it just happens - my pace slows down, I can hardly open my computer and everything is more or less in standstill.
Alma Skirt
This year I have so many fabulous projects lined up, that it would be hard to convince me to take a weeks long pause anyway! More details on those later, but today I wanted to share my Alma Skirt with you. Alma Skirt was another collaboration with Ilo Yarn for Jyväskylä Knit Fest 2024.
Aalto Vest
Aalto Vest is originally designed for amirisu magazine, their spring/summer issue of 2023, issue 26. It is a spectacular issue focusing on Finland and northern landscapes with Finnish designers included and with a feature of Helsinki as a craft city guide.
Serendipity Sweater
For a very long time I’ve been loving double seed stitch, or moss stitch, with cables, but now the seed stitch feel so very fresh for some reason. Maybe it’s the need for a little change, maybe I’ve seen more seed stitch around, who knows? But seed stitch is the true champion of this project and the cables are mainly just framing it and letting it shine!
Double Bubble
This is one of those highly relaxing knitting project in my opinion. You can enjoy long strtches of simple Stockinette stitch with only a little shaping. Double Bubble Sweater is knitted from the top down in one piece, starting with the back and then picking up stitches for each shoulder. What I love maybe the most is the lovely trapezoid look created with easy decreases along the lower body and the sleeves.
Socks for Spring
It’s end of April and I think Spring is here to stay this time. The sun is shining and the air feels fresh and surprisingly warm. I’m ready for all the flowers and green grass. To celebrate I have just released two new sick designs: Mauve Socks and Lemonade Socks!
