A little twist of lacey texture is spicing up the fun of short rows and garter stitch. The asymmetric crescent shaped shawl is long enough to wrap around the neck as many times as desired!
MATERIALS
Yarn: 1 skein of Merino Singles by La Bien Aimée (100% Merino; 400 yards [366 meters]/ 100g) and 1 skein of Everyday Singles by The Uncommon Thread (100% Merino; 400 yards [366 meters]/ 100g). Approx. 790 yards [720 meters] of fingering weight yarn; 395 yards [360 meters] of each color. The sample was knit in colorways Aimee’s Shawl (MC, pink speckled, La Bien Aimée) and Cobble (CC, gray, The Uncommon Thread). Needles: US 7 (4.5 mm) circular needles, 32” (80 cm) long or longer.
SIZING
Finished measurements of the shawl: 88” (224 cm) wingspan and 18” (46 cm); after blocking.
GAUGE
18 stitches and 36 rows = 10 cm in Garter stitch, after blocking.
