A diary for all my knitting and making
Double Bubble
This is one of those highly relaxing knitting project in my opinion. You can enjoy long strtches of simple Stockinette stitch with only a little shaping. Double Bubble Sweater is knitted from the top down in one piece, starting with the back and then picking up stitches for each shoulder. What I love maybe the most is the lovely trapezoid look created with easy decreases along the lower body and the sleeves.
Socks for Spring
It’s end of April and I think Spring is here to stay this time. The sun is shining and the air feels fresh and surprisingly warm. I’m ready for all the flowers and green grass. To celebrate I have just released two new sick designs: Mauve Socks and Lemonade Socks!
Monday Love Dress
Hello March! I can’t quite believe it’s here. The official first spring month. We have had a few sunny days when the sun actually feels warm and there’s a chance that by summer all the snow might have melted. But I’m pretty certain that these first rays (and days) of sunshine are just a hoax, ready to lure us all into this phase of fool’s spring.
Laventeli Sweater
Today I want to talk a little bit about the newly released sweater pattern of mine: Laventeli Sweater.
This gorgeous fluffy dream sweater was started already last Spring in a way, because that’s when I bought the first skeins for it from Säie Wool. At that point I was thinking about a cardigan, and holding only one strand of Mohair but pairing it with a fingering weight yarn. However, during the Spring and Summer months I was starting to lean heavily into a double stranded Silk-Mohair sweater!
New Beanies for January
Winter, in my opinion, is also the perfect time to knit quick and warn woolly things like beanies! At least I feel this is the time. If you haven’t made a new hat for the new year yet, I have two lovely designs for you to try.
