Polaris Wrap was originally designed as an advent mystery wrap collaboration with Frida Fuchs and Yarnover Berlin in 2023.
What would be better during this holiday season, than enjoy a fun mystery wrap knit with beautiful colors and simple shapes!
The Polaris Wrap is inspired by the quilting tradition. This wrap will keep the knitters’ interest to the very last bits. There’s a new section to knit every single day, but it’s all done in simple garter stitch. You will enjoy some soothing stitches and happy colors all the way leading to Christmas Day!
MATERIALS
Yarn: 24 mini skeins of Steppke by Frida Fuchs (100% SW merino; 80 yds (73 m) per 20 g). 5 mini skeins of Color A (MC), Color B (MC2), and Color C (MC3); and one mini skein each of colors D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, and L.
Or: 24 mini skeins of Remmidemmi by Frida Fuchs (75% Blue Faced Leicester, 25% Nylon; 93 yds (85 m) per 20 g). 5 mini skeins of Color A (MC), Color B (MC2), and Color C (MC3); and one mini skein each of colors D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, and L.
Note: A total of 12 colors are used for the design. You can also use a full 100 g skein of each of the three main colors. You can also use 24 different minis is desired!
Needles: US 6 (4 mm) circular needles, any length.
SIZING
One Size
Finished measurements of the wrap: 71” (180 cm) long and 24” (60 cm) wide.
GAUGE
22 sts and 44 rows = 4” (10 cm) in garter stitch using 4 mm needles, after blocking.
